Red Fox
Captured in the early morning stillness of a Pennsylvania winter.
Subject: Red Fox (Vulpes vulpes)
Location: Fort Washington State Park, Pennsylvania
Season: Winter
The red fox is one of North America's most adaptable and recognizable predators, thriving in forests, fields, and suburban edges alike. Despite their prevalence, catching one this still and this close is a rare moment of luck — they are naturally cautious and quick to disappear. This individual was completely unbothered, moving slowly through the snow-covered brush in the early morning quiet.
One of my favorite captures from a cold Pennsylvania morning. The contrast between the fox's vivid coat and the muted winter landscape is something I'll never get tired of.
