The Rolex 24 passes through a full cycle of light, and sunrise is its most quietly dramatic moment. After racing through the night, the sky begins to lighten behind the circuit and the cars emerge from the darkness in a way that feels almost cinematic. By this point the field has been racing for over twelve hours — and they have twelve more to go.

Sunrise at Daytona is something you have to experience to fully understand. The whole paddock shifts — the energy changes, the light changes, and suddenly everything looks different. This Corvette coming through in that flat early morning light, brake lights still glowing, is one of my favorite frames from the weekend.
